remotequokka.com is operated by RemoteQuokka, Port Augusta, South Australia, Australia (email careers@remotequokka.com). These terms govern use of the website and applications made through it. Using the website constitutes acceptance of these terms.
In these terms, "RemoteQuokka", "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator; "you" means any user; "website" means remotequokka.com; "employer" means a business offering a position; and "listing" means the description of a position on the website.
RemoteQuokka publishes home-based positions and introduces applicants to the businesses offering them. RemoteQuokka is not an employer of applicants. Hiring decisions, contracts, supervision, working arrangements and remuneration are matters for the employer. An application does not create an employment relationship with RemoteQuokka or guarantee an offer.
A listing should be read in full, including duties, working arrangements, form of engagement, eligibility and conditions. Positions may be filled or changed during recruitment, and listings are amended or withdrawn once we become aware of this. Inaccuracies may be reported to careers@remotequokka.com, identifying the listing.
Information you provide must be accurate and relate to you, unless you are assisting another person with their consent. You must satisfy the eligibility and right-to-work requirements of the position. Applications consist of the form followed by a WhatsApp message to our HR team, which is sent only when you press Send. An alternative method is available by email for those who cannot use WhatsApp. Employers may request further information or an interview before making an offer.
RemoteQuokka charges applicants no application, placement, administration or training fee and requires no deposit. Our revenue comes from employers using our advertising and introduction services. RemoteQuokka never requires applicants to purchase cryptocurrency, fund accounts, pay for access to work or transfer money for wages to be released. Any such request connected with our listings should be reported to careers@remotequokka.com.
Pay is set by the employer, applies only to the relevant position and its conditions, and a range does not indicate that its maximum will be paid. Before accepting work, obtain written confirmation from the employer of its legal identity, the duties and form of engagement, the rate or method of calculating pay, expected hours or workload, and the payment schedule. No work, workload or income is guaranteed.
RemoteQuokka is responsible for its own statements and advertising. Employers are responsible for information they supply and for their obligations as employers. Material inconsistencies between our advertising and the website are reviewed and corrected, and a general disclaimer does not override a specific representation or any statutory right.
The handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. WhatsApp and employers apply their own policies to information they hold.
Users must not impersonate others, submit knowingly false applications, provide another person's information without consent, distribute harmful material or interfere with the website's operation.
Website content may be viewed and saved for personal job-search purposes only. Other use requires the rights holder's permission. Photographs are licensed stock images and do not depict actual applicants or employers.
The application form is provided by WhatsForm, and advertising is measured by Google. Links on the website open WhatsApp and email applications. RemoteQuokka does not control these services.
RemoteQuokka does not guarantee continuous availability of the website or that any position will remain open throughout an application, and may modify or suspend the website without notice.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Subject to such rights, RemoteQuokka is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website. Liability for fraud, and any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited, is not affected.
The website may contain typographical or technical errors, which will be corrected when identified.
A user who breaches these terms is responsible for loss reasonably resulting from the breach, except to the extent caused by RemoteQuokka.
RemoteQuokka is not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including outages affecting hosting or messaging providers.
An unenforceable provision does not affect the remaining provisions, and delay in enforcing a provision does not constitute a waiver.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Compliance Statement, constitute the entire agreement regarding use of the website.
Communications about an application are sent to the WhatsApp number or email address from which you contacted us. Notices to RemoteQuokka should be emailed to careers@remotequokka.com.
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, subject to any mandatory protections applicable to you.
The website does not use accounts or passwords, and RemoteQuokka will never request a password from you. Any purported RemoteQuokka login should be treated as fraudulent.
RemoteQuokka may withdraw a listing or decline to forward an application where it reasonably suspects misuse of the website or false information, and will notify affected users.
Users may not assign their rights under these terms. RemoteQuokka may assign its rights to a successor operator, in which case these terms continue to apply.
Any agreement to perform work is formed between the applicant and the employer. RemoteQuokka is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for its performance by either party.
Suggestions submitted about the website may be used by RemoteQuokka to improve its services without obligation to the person submitting them.
Enquiries and complaints may be sent to careers@remotequokka.com with the relevant listing. Amendments are published on this page with a revised date and do not affect rights arising from earlier interactions.
