RemoteQuokka

Compliance Statement

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Purpose of this statement

To set out in one place what RemoteQuokka is, how it is paid, what it can and cannot check, and how to raise a concern. Applicants, employers and advertising platforms can all rely on it.

RemoteQuokka's role

RemoteQuokka, based in Port Augusta, South Australia, advertises home-based positions and introduces applicants to the businesses offering them. It does not employ applicants, set their hours, supervise their work or pay them.

Funding

RemoteQuokka's income comes solely from employers who pay for advertising and introductions. No applicant is ever asked to pay for anything, including applications, training or deposits.

Verification and its limits

Before publishing a position, we establish direct contact with the employer and confirm the listing reflects the information provided. RemoteQuokka is not a regulator or auditor and does not inspect workplaces, assess an employer's finances or supervise work once someone is engaged.

No guarantees

RemoteQuokka makes no promise of employment, earnings, hours or payment timing. These must be agreed between applicant and employer and confirmed in writing before work starts.

Origin of positions

All positions are supplied directly by employers. RemoteQuokka does not reproduce listings from other websites or publish positions to collect contact information.

Fraud awareness

RemoteQuokka will never ask for money, security codes, banking passwords or transfers. Requests of that kind, whatever name they appear under, should be treated as fraudulent and reported.

Handling of applications

Applications are reviewed by our HR team and shared only with the employer for the chosen position. They are not sold or used for marketing, and the services involved are listed in the Privacy Policy.

Accuracy of advertising

Advertising for RemoteQuokka should match the content of this website. Where a discrepancy is reported, it is investigated and the inaccurate material corrected.

Standards for employers

Employers advertising through RemoteQuokka must provide accurate descriptions, notify closures promptly, give applicants written terms before work commences and pay workers directly. Employers who request payment from applicants are removed.

Making a report

Reports about listings, advertisements or misuse of the RemoteQuokka name can be emailed to careers@remotequokka.com, ideally with a screenshot. Every report receives a written response and is treated confidentially.

Record-keeping

RemoteQuokka maintains a record of each listing's publication, amendment and withdrawal dates, together with any complaints received and the action taken in response.

Human review of reports

All reports are reviewed by staff rather than automated systems. Urgent matters, such as requests for money made in RemoteQuokka's name, should be marked Urgent in the subject line.

Relationship with advertising platforms

RemoteQuokka follows the advertising policies of the platforms it uses and will provide this statement, and supporting information, to those platforms on request.

Review of this statement

This statement is reviewed whenever RemoteQuokka's processes change. The date at the top of the page identifies the current version.

Confidentiality of reports

Information provided in a report is used solely to investigate it and is disclosed only to the extent the investigation requires.

Outcome of reports

Reports are investigated. Inaccurate listings are withdrawn and related advertising suspended pending contact with the employer, and the person reporting is informed of the result.
